LONDON, UK, January 22, 2025 — ASUS today announced the global launch of its latest education-focused laptops, the BR and CR series, at BETT 2025. Designed to address the evolving needs of modern classrooms, these devices combine upgraded performance, rugged durability and innovative features to empower K-12 students and educators in both in-classroom and hybrid learning environments.
ASUS BR series (BR1204CTA, BR1204FTA, BR1104CTA and BR1104FTA) and CR series (CR1104CTA, CR1104FTA, CR1204CTA, and CR1204FTA) are designed specifically for the needs of K-12 students, educators and IT administrators. Built with reliability and versatility in mind, these laptops enhance classroom learning by supporting diverse teaching methods, streamlining IT management, and empowering students with tools for creativity and collaboration. With new Intel® processors, AI-powered features like Microsoft Copilot and thoughtful, student-centred designs, they are set to upgrade digital learning for the next generation.
Durability meets innovation: ASUS BR series
ASUS BR series combines performance and reliability for everyday learning. Powered by the new Intel® Processor N150 and N250, these laptops are built to withstand active classroom environments with MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability1, rugged rubber bumpers and spill-resistant keyboards2.
With Microsoft Copilot integration, the BR series provides AI-powered tools to streamline administrative tasks for educators while offering real-time support for student assignments and teamwork. BR-series convertible models (BR1204FTA and BR1104FTA) feature 360° hinges and optional stylus support, allowing seamless transitions between laptop and tablet modes, ideal for creative projects and collaboration.
Versatility and adaptability: ASUS CR series
ASUS CR series offers adaptable solutions for K-12 students. Powered by the Intel® Processor N250, these Chromebooks are available in 180° lay-flat and 360° convertible models to accommodate diverse learning styles and classroom needs.
The upgraded 1080p FHD front-facing webcam and a 13MP world-facing camera3 make these models ideal for creative projects like capturing scientific observations during fieldwork or producing digital media assignments. TÜV-certified low blue-light displays4 ensure comfortable viewing for long study sessions, while the optional garaged stylus enhances productivity in STEAM activities such as sketching and note-taking. With Chrome Education Upgrade5, schools benefit from streamlined IT management with multi-layered security, automatic updates and simplified deployment, enabling educators to focus on teaching rather than logistics.
Durability and hygiene for modern classrooms
Both ASUS BR and CR Series are designed to withstand the demands of school life, ensuring long-lasting performance in active learning environments. Each laptop undergoes rigorous testing to meet MIL-STD-810H military standards, including 10 consecutive drops from 130cm onto six sides and four edges, simulating real-world accidents. The devices also endure over 10,000 hinge cycles, guaranteeing reliable performance even with frequent use by active students.
Corning® Gorilla® Glass is available on touchscreen models for both CR and BR series, offering additional scratch resistance and enhanced durability. The spill-resistant keyboards are engineered to handle up to 405cc of liquid, reducing downtime caused by accidental spills.
Additionally, ASUS Antimicrobial Guard technology, an optional feature, protects high-touch surfaces by inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria by over 99%, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the day. This feature ensures a safer, healthier learning environment, making these laptops ideal for modern educational settings.

Powered by the new Intel Processor N150 and N250, ASUS BR and CR series deliver enhanced multitasking and efficiency for high-demand classroom activities and remote learning. ASUS CR series offers up to 18 hours of battery life6, allowing students to work through an entire school day without needing a recharge, even during extracurricular activities or field trips. Students can stream educational videos, run interactive applications and complete collaborative projects without interruptions.
To further support modern learning environments, both BR and CR series provide comprehensive I/O options, including USB-C® and HDMI® ports. The use of anti-drop captive screws ensures that small parts remain securely in place during repairs, preventing misplacement and further simplifying maintenance.

MIL-STD-810H testing is conducted on selected ASUS products only. Note that the MIL-STD-810H testing helps to ensure the quality of ASUS products but does not indicate a particular fitness for military use. The test is performed under laboratory conditions. Any damage caused by attempts to replicate these test conditions would be considered accidental, and would not be covered by the standard ASUS warranty. Additional coverage is available with ASUS Premium Care.
2The keyboard of ASUS BR1204 series is spill-resistant, not waterproof. Water damage is possible if the product is submerged or exposed to large amounts of water for long periods of time. The standard ASUS limited warranty does not cover problems resulting from accidents such as water damage. To prevent water damage resulting from large spills or other accidents, ASUS recommends turning off the notebook, then tilting the laptop to drain away the excess water, wipe off and let it dry for at least 24 hours.
